How to Plan a Hospitality Lighting Package Before Requesting a Quote
A practical checklist for aligning guestrooms, public areas, finishes and electrical requirements before sampling begins.
Start with the spaces, not isolated fixtures
List each space in the project and identify the lighting role required there: bedside, task, ambient, decorative or mirror lighting. This creates a clearer package than selecting products one by one without a room plan.
For guestrooms, note the quantities needed per room type. For public areas, identify which fixtures are repeated and which are statement pieces.
Confirm the specification boundaries
Voltage, plug type, lamp holder, CCT, finish, dimensions and control requirements can affect sampling and production. Share the information you already know and mark uncertain items for discussion.
When a requirement is not final, a reference image or drawing can still help the sourcing team evaluate suitable construction and factory options.
Use a sample as the working standard
A pre-production sample gives the buyer and supplier a shared reference for finish, scale, light effect and assembly. Record approved details clearly before moving into project quantities.
